🏉 Cambridge 17-64 Cornish Pirates
Cornish Pirates ran in ten tries against newly-promoted Championship side Cambridge to earn their first-ever win in the Premiership Rugby Cup.
Despite the one-sided nature of the final score, it was a different story in the first half with five tries in the first 20 minutes — with Kyle Moyle, Harry Dugmore and Alex Schwarz crossing for the Pirates — making it 17-12 to the visitors at the interval.
The second was a completely different matter, however, as Pirates racked up seven tries in a devastating 40 minutes. Will Trewin and Morgan Nelson scored two apiece with Iwan Jenkins, Matt McNab and Will Gibson also going over to complete a comphrensive win.
The result means Pirates have moved up to fourth in the five-team Pool C table, although their hopes of reaching the semi-finals are all but over.

🏉 Camborne 34-26 Chester
Camborne made it two wins from two at The Rec this season with a bonus-point victory over Chester.
Unconverted tries from Alex Ducker and Adam King put the hosts ten points up before Chester’s Woody Pochin and Camborne’s Jonathan Drew traded converted efforts to give the Cherry & Whites a 17-7 advantage at the break.
Ducker’s second effort extended the home side’s lead to 17 points, and while a trio of tries swung the match in Chester’s favour at 26-24, a penalty try six minutes from time saved Camborne’s bacon.

Mackenzie Oliver crossed to put Redruth in front ten minutes into the second half but Mitchell Spencer’s penalty and Ricardo Cano’s try gave Clifton a 31-24 advantage, with Nowell’s second of the day being improved by Gott to rescue the draw and clinch the bonus point.

Lloyd Duke charged over to extend the lead before a pair of penalties from Dan Pearce gave the visitors breathing space at 13-28, and while Matson reduced the deficit to eight when home No.8 Tom Porter crashed over, Tom Bottoms crossed under the posts late on to secure victory and the bonus point.

Saints took advantage of this numerical advantage and scored just before half time through Cam Taylor but Shepherd was unable to convert.
Leading 12-3 at the break, Exmouth had the first scoring opportunity of the second stanza but Meadows’ penalty attempt, after Saints’ Miles Davey followed Willis to the sin bin, didn’t find the mark.
Finally the points were secure late on when prop Charlie Nicholson finished off a driving maul and Shepherd tagged on the extras.
